You Matter Experience

Six ways to bring it

From a single assembly to a school-wide experience — and every one of them gets shaped around your students, your staff and your building.

01

Student Assemblies

Real conversations about confidence, identity and pressure.

Not a motivational speech students sit through — a conversation they take part in. Jonathan works the room the way he works a classroom: naming the things students are actually carrying, and giving them language for it. The goal isn’t a standing ovation. It’s the conversation that keeps going in the hallway after.

Best for: whole-school audiences
02

You Matter Days

High-energy, uplifting school-wide experiences built on joy, music and connection.

A full day where the whole building feels different. Music, energy, and moments designed to pull students out of their usual groups and into the same room as each other. It’s the day students bring up months later — and the one that changes how a school feels about itself.

Best for: school-wide culture days
03

Peer Leadership Programs

Student-led leadership that builds confidence, ownership and purpose.

The part of the You Matter Experience that outlasts the visit. Students take the lead — planning, speaking, and carrying the message to their own classmates. Adults set the frame; students own the room. Confidence gets built by doing, not by being told to have it.

Best for: building a student leadership team
04

Small-Group Workshops

Honest, safe spaces to talk resilience, anxiety, friendship and self-worth.

Some conversations don’t work in a gym. In a small group, students say the real thing — about pressure, about friendships, about the version of themselves they show online. Sessions stay honest, structured and safe, with room for students to actually be heard.

Best for: targeted groups and advisory blocks
05

Teacher & Staff PD

Recharging, real professional development focused on connection and burnout.

PD that respects the people in the room. Jonathan has been in those seats for 21 years, so this isn’t theory delivered by someone who has never covered a lunch duty. Staff leave with practical ways to build connection with students — and, just as importantly, with something for themselves.

Best for: faculty meetings, conference days
06

Custom School Experiences

Tailored programming designed around your students and your school culture.

Every school is carrying something different. If none of the formats above is quite the fit, Jonathan will build the one that is — combining assemblies, workshops, student leadership and staff sessions into a program shaped around what your building actually needs.

Best for: schools with a specific goal in mind
